Ergonomics of our chairs

We make the perfect chair for your body and your working position!

Comseat is continually refining and re-designing what is considered the best in industry standards and we are very excited about our latest innovation!

Comfort Zone® Foam!!!

Our Comfort Zone® Foam raises the bar of excellence in its unique design and composition for dual density seating foam.

The feature of Comseat's registered design is the figure 8 shaped zone strategically positioned to cup the buttocks and offer premium support to the 2 pelvic protrusions into the centre of the 2 circles, the ischial tuberosities.

By combining the sophisticated technology of pressure-absorbing foam created for NASA in the 1960's, with the heat dispersing chemicals currently used for cushioning in Hospital Burns Units in Europe, the Comfort Zone® is both pressure sensitive and temperature sensitive!

These sensitivities give the zone the unique characteristics of being able to respond by differing degrees to contact with individual body weights and body temperatures, and mould around the shape of the body! This allows your body to create its very own comfort zone!

Completing the Comfort Zone® Foam design is a surround of more conventional, quality, high density, resilient moulded foam which secures the Comfort Zone® in position and is complementary in transferring body heat.

No other seating foam on the market has the capabilities of Comseat Comfort Zone® Foam!

Comparisons: body pressure

Comfort Zone® Foam

  • softens under body pressure, indenting and moulding around the body's shape. This gives the feel of gradually sinking deeply into the foam while still maintaining the firm support of a quality resilient foam.

    Regular dual density foam
  • general resistance to pressure, with less resistance noticeable at the back of the seat. The foam surface is flattened.

    Regular foam
  • general resistance to pressure and flattening of the surface.

Comparisons: body heat

Comfort Zone® Foam

  • draws away the body heat generated at pressure points, dispersing it into the outer foam. This allows unrestricted blood flow, minimizes stiffness in joints, including arthritic discomfort, and results in healthy and comfortable, static seating.

    Regular dual density foam
  • Retains body heat.

    Regular foam
  • Retains body heat.

The Result? Unlike other seating foams the longer you sit the more comfortable you become!

Comseat is so pleased with this revolution in office seating we now have Comfort Zone® Foam on all our task chairs, with exception of our 2 budget chairs.

Look for the distinctive Comfort Zone® Foam Swing Tag to ensure you have a Comfort Zoneâ chair and sit comfortably all day in the Comfort Zone® your body creates just for you!
